As a Revolut Business customer, you have the option to open a Merchant account. This will allow you to accept payments directly to your Merchant account via our payment solutions.
Besides accepting payments, you can manage orders, customers, and access more features through the Merchant API. To start using the Merchant API and its features, you will first need to apply for a Merchant account.
The Merchant account is a sub-account of your Business account. The following table lists the different features of both:
Revolut Merchant account | Revolut Business account |
---|---|

|
Before you start, make sure you've already opened a Revolut Business account.
If your application is successful, you will receive an email notification, and you can access your Merchant account right away.
If your application is rejected, you will receive a notification with the reason for the rejection. You can then address the issue and reapply.
For any questions or assistance during the application process, reach out to support via our in-app chat.
To try the Merchant API in a test environment without signing up for a real Revolut Business and Merchant account, create a Revolut Sandbox account.
You can use the Sandbox account to test your implementation before going live. For more information, see: Implementation checklists.
